Well, the day finally came when we had to take the plunge and get Jocey's braces started. She has been visiting the orthodontist for a year or two now, and the time arrived. She looks so cute with her braces, but she's finding out it isn't as fun as she imagined it to be. She also underwent some oral surgery to remove a tooth and hook a chain to the tooth that was coming in to take its place. She was so swollen on her right side. I'd show pictures of that, but she wouldn't let me take any!! She was a trooper though, she still went to school 2 days later and gave her report on Italy in Social Studies class. (The teacher said he thought she looked like she had been in a bar-room fight.)

It is fun to see how much your kids are growing up too! Yes it is the Alannah you are thinking of. She is living with my mom right now and it is really fun to see her again!
